Default i have oficially stopped running CHEVRON gas

since chevron has started putting 10% ethanol in their gas my milage has went down 20-30 miles less per tank... eek . i have switched to shell and i plan on staying with it.

note. i find the newest shell station because the fuel tanks are new and the equipment is new.

you will know if they put ethanol in thier gas it will have a sticker on the pump somewhere tellin you that you are running corn

Good luck finding gas with no ethanol in it. Up here, there are NO stations that Ive found yet that have gas with no ethanol added.

Just another way to ****** more money out of our pockets, I reckon. Fuel economy drops so we buy more. I wish they'd go ahead and start setting up
E85 stations around here.

I get gas at Costco, it says "may contain up to 10% ethanol". I believe we have a VP racing station up here that has great gas as well as one of the only stations in the area that sells 105 octane from the pump but you have to pay out the ***.

Glad you still have a choice. Here in Oregon 10% ethanol was mandated by the legislature a couple years ago to please the Eco-Hippies who dominate this state.

After a couple of years they are realizing that this was a horrible idea that actually increases pollution, decreases gas mileage, and benefits only the government subsidised ethanol producers. And creates more CO2 to make than it saves. ******* Hippies! But they run this place now.

We may finally get the choice to buy real premium gas again without ethanol, but no final word yet.

Here in NE Pa I only run Sunoco 93 octane in all my vehicles. Yes even that has 10% ethanol. I believe finding gas without ethanol is pretty hard to do. At least we can still get 93 octane in our part of the country. I believe that the highest octane in California is only 91. That sucks.
My wife just reminded me that when I PASS gas there isn't any ethanol in it either. Unless I eat some corn.

That makes no sense at all. you complain about the small reduction in millage yet wish there was E85 available near you. That stuff gets about 1/2 the milliage as regular gasoline.

Theres one station locally that i know of that has a sign on their pumps that says "No Ethanol". Its a Texaco, and i usually fill up there. I can honestly see a difference in gas mileage.

Is there a general consensus on the best brand of 93? I just got my 99 T/A last summer and I only run it on BP Premium (93, no ethanol I believe), but that's mostly because I own stock in BP. Does anyone have a recommendation based on composition/additives/overall quality?

I found a Chevron right outside of my neighborhood, that gets used a lot, and has stickers on every pump that says "Contains 100% gasoline" I get gas there, or Shell. I had stopped going to Shell, because their sticker says "Contains up to 10% ethanol", thought it may have changed with the nitrogen enriched. How is that nitrogen enriched, anyway?

Isn't it funny how people have laws made, then when they turn out to be a flop, leave them be?

First... is it law they have to sticker the pump if the gas contains Ethanol?

There is a Citgo station near me in New Bern NC that makes it's business advertising "No Ethanol" and everybody with an outboard motor buys their gas there. Ethanol + OM = trouble

In florida it can contain up to 10 or 15 percent cant remember and they dont have to tell you. I dont notice too much a diff between ethanol and pure sunoco 93 here except in my 66 mustang. It drives abt the same except when you sit in traffic for a long time the fuel in the carb bowl starts to evaporate because of the ethanol and it runs like **** until you get moving again and fuel fills the bowl back up. Oh yeah it does wonders for the small seals in the carb.
