Something is serioulsy wrong with your car man. I have no idea what but I had a A4 with 2.73s and Id spin the hell out of my tires and I was STOCK. I had nice 245 KDWs too. They hooked when I needed but if I just floored it from a stop without power braking i'd spin my a$$off, if I powerbreaked I wasnt catching anytime soon. I put my friends Camaro SS rims with 275s on them and I still spun them with ease (infront of my friend too, he wasnt happy, lol).

All joking aside, I have no idea way you cant spin from a dead stop and when I could go half throttle and chirp mine, 75%-100% throttle and I was spinning leaving a nice burnout mark.

i know the issue has been resolved here but in my car when stock and just flooring it off idle it did not really spin the tires much at all. thats not to say it was slow off the line, it just squatted and took off with out spinning the tires. Now if i stalled it up to even 1500 rpm the tires would go up in smoke if i floored it out of the hole. i always liked that about my car when it was stock from a stop light. just floor it and forget it. i dont know why it hooked so good on street tires but it did.

Now with heads and cam i have to baby it out of the hole and floor it around 20 mph and once 4500 rpm comes the tires start spinning anyways... lol

BTW, I don't know if anyone's said this or not, but that's a good thing. "You spin, you don't win."

I'm running 275 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and 2.73's, and I can break them loose from a stop with no problem. Even if I'm rolling a bit I can get them spinning.

I actually even had massive traction problems at the track, other than my first run, I could not get the car to hook at all.

Dead hooking=good unless you're scared for your 10 bolt.
x2 Some would love to be able to dead hook. Especially these heads and cam guys.

I have noticed with my car that the road surface and temperature has alot to do with hooking or spinning. I have a mostly stock 99 WS6 A4 with 3.23's and 275/40/17 BFG Gforce street tires. If it is a warm day out on a decent road surface it will spin a small amount and then hook. Now if i take it to an old country road and floor it from a stop, it will go sideways through all of 2nd gear.
