Default LS1 books&other literature

I've found a couple books regarding LS1's and was wondering if any of them are any good?

I have all of those books and like all of them. I read Endres book over and over when I got it; it covers a lot of bolt ons and free mods you can do.

The Will Handzel book I have has a different cover:

and that book HAS A MAJOR TYPO IN IT. It tells you that the oil pump cover bolts need to be torqued to 18 ft lbs. That is ****** bullshit and I found out the hard way. Torque those bolts to HALF OF THAT, 9 ft lbs and you're good. I chunked my stock oil pump because of that and got an SLP oil pump instead. So for me, that was a $200 mistake. Honestly though other than that, that book is really good too.

they're also pretty conservative and recommend aftermarket cranks for 500 rwhp, they also use the gm hot cam for upgrades. i guess that could be because like someone else said the book is a little dated.
