Forgive me for asking, but what is LM7? I looked under the acronym's thread, but all I could find was LM for "Loudmouth".

 

it is a 5.3 truck motor that i am running in my car alot of people are doing it

 

Forggive the thread hijack but what makes the LM7 better than the LS-1?

 

cheaper and just as much power and they can hold more power on stock bottom end too

 

I had Magnaflow TD's run out the back on my WS6 and a Magnaflow with FM Y-merge setup on T/A. The TD's sound about 1000 times better than the Y setup. No rasp at all.

The only reason people swap LM7's into LS1 cars is if they blow their motor and need a cheap replacement, that is the only reason.

There's your problem..if you had a 3" TD setup you would have noticed a difference.


I'm actually in the process of going to TD's.. I changed my Torque Arm and bought this one from UMI Performance..



I also bought the 3" X-pipe Kit from Summit, I'm using Flo Pro Twistie Mufflers. My goal is to make it look like this..

 

All you guys whining about not being able to fit them or tuck them in just click on this link that NC98z posted and build your own. I just spent over an hour on that Dr.Gas site and they seem to have the answer to TDs. If I had a Car to put a TD sytem on it would go like this... Kooks 1 7/8 longtubes to a Dr. Gas 80 degree X-bend round to oval x-pipe off the collectors, then a 36" 3" oval piping to their spin tech pro street mufflers then into dual boom tubes out the back it would look something like this....https://www.drgas.net/mediaitem.php?itemid=36 That is what it would look like at the back of the car, then at the X-junction to the mufflers it would look like this...https://www.drgas.net/mediaitem.php?itemid=39.
