you've got a gt500 and a nitrous huffing 02 mustang and a need for a new toy? it would seem to me, its most economical to put the nitrous system on the gt500 and sell the 02 mustang to some kid. that should get you where you want. then you can beat on the gt500 all you want, knowing that you have $60k to build it up or get something else if something breaks.

if the nitrous huffing gt500 doesn't provide enough thrills for you and you really gotta blow through that $60k, your only hope is to buy a clean 3rd gen camaro, fill the trunk with cocaine and head off to las vegas.

Man, a lot of 2010 haters. I love them.
Probably overpriced, but what about the new Hennessy Camaro?

If I had 60k to spend on a car...I'd go with a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V...local stealership has one for $64k..amazing car. Check them out.

Along those lines, for 60k I would build my Ultima GTR. Or there is the new Superlite SLC. Use a LS2 engine and porsche or other transaxle. I am shooting for a 60k budget when I am finally able to pull the trigger on one of those.

A 2010 camaro SS with $20k in upgrades would do me. You would have an Easy 10 sec. brand new car. You would suprise many folks. If u get a Z06, folks expect fast, no surprises. But a 10sec 2010 camaro, that would be cool.

I honestly don't know if I would say it would be "easy" to hit 10s in a '10 camaro if you are going to do it reliably with 20k... Close, but I don't know about easy..

New camaros are ok, not better than an 02 f body imo. That are a vette, hell you can get a used vette and still put money into your present ride.

seriously? because this guy says he can make a "solid semi-dependable" 10 second civic with only $15k.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/12428253-post28.html

so maybe the civic would be a better investment since the 2010 camaro doesn't respond to mods as well.

I am paying attention to that thread... Parts are still expensive as **** for the new camaros.. In a couple years you will be able to hit 10s pretty reliably for under 10k..
