Well i purchase the ls6 from sd with gaskets and what not for 3400 shipped.. That was still cheaper than the new ls1 the mechanic quoted
me for 4500.. All though the new ls1 would of came with a 100k warrenty and the ls6 crate engine only comes with a 12 month warrenty.. I hopeni made
the right decision I feel like I did get the best bang for the buck assuming this crate engine last and holds up like a true gm engine.. Well I hope I will be satisfied I was happy with my stock m6 ls1 so I plan on making this ls6 full bolt ons with 4 10 gears .. Hopefully i will be satisfied..What do you guys think about my decision?

Where did you get an LS6 block for 3400? Pretty good deal if you ask me.

I believe this is where he got it from,

(If it turns out you really need an engine, we have some of the 405HP LS6 long blocks in stock at $3244 shipped. You will have to change the oil pan/pickup, balancer, and pilot bearing. Other than that, a good tune and you are ready to roll. Give us a shout if we can help you.)

I got mine for 3,800 shipped to my door with a water pump minus the intake. You'll like it. I wish I would have gone a different route but oh well

You are looking at a complete crate engine. These guys are talking about a long block. No intake, coil packs, injection, water pump, exhaust manifolds, clutch, etc. Give me a shout if you need one. We still have some in stock.
