Can't imagine this would be a practical change.

I'm curious to see pics of one that's been done, though.

This is by far the best thing I've ever done to my car. It cost me $460.00 plus little stuff like masking material, cutting wheels, etc. Took my me and my friend 6 days to complete.

Leave it alone, you probably have no idea how rare that hardtop SS is.

Of course it's your car and your choice but IMHO not worth slaying a rare optioned SS.

Thanx. It's passed for a factory job with every single person I've shown it to.

It's still just an f-body. They only reason our cars get any attention is because they are cheap and relatively fast. The OP's car is never going to be an expensive collector's item, so I say break out the sawzall and go to town. Hell, make it a convertible. LOL J/K

I saw that t top conversion thread a while back. Very impressive work. Doesn't look hard to do IF you have patience and a very steady hand.

People said the same thing about the 67-72s regarding pulling the number's matching engines out and tossing them in favor of aftermarket built engines. The more original your car is the more valuable it will be long term.

Ouside of that you'll be pissed if they leak.

besides t-tops =

I have had both a t-top car and now a hardtop. I must say the hard top is a much more rigid and quieter ride! T-tops are only nice when they are off imo...

I own both and my firebidy without T-tops doesn't hurt my eyes on bright days like the camaro does. Yet my firebird just isn't the same as the camaro without the t-tops. I don't use the t-tops to often but when I do. Its awesome.

No kidding, put it up for sale before you do something like that.
