That hauls for being stock with just Dr's. 12.69 is like a 8.14 in the 1/8.

I've seen those tips on a number of them..are you sure about those tips not being stock? SLP offered several different exhaust setups on the SS cars FWIR.

I thought that the 98-00 cars had a slightly more aggressive cam with crappier heads and intake meanwhile the 01-02's got the ls6 intake with a less aggressive cam and better heads?

all stock LS1 heads flow about the same in stock form. The more aggressive cam came with EGR and the slightly smaller cams didnt need EGR. Not a play for more or less power, just emissions BS.

Nope, sounds like stock SLP exhaust to me. Even has the stock tips.

Remember, Evan Smith wen't 12.80's-12.90's not once but twice on two seperate occasions, in 1999 and 2002 with two different cars. GMHTP also wen't high 12's with a stocker, Car Craft 13.1. I've seen numerous 13.0-13.1 stock passes over the years with my own eyes. This is a LS1 Camaro being driven to it's fullest potential by an expert driver. There's not many of those out there that's why it's so hard for most to believe.

EDIT: looks like someone already posted the article with Evan. I still have that issue of MM&FF sitting in the library.

Hey I don't know tudds personally but Atco + traction = good times... a number of people have come close to Evans times so it's not hard for me to believe someone else could pull this off.

Yes, it was an SS-an SS with the Corvette motor to be exact, because we all know that a regular Z28 doesn't have nearly as much horsepower as an SS, especially one with the Corvette motor...

It sounds loud because I'm next to the barrier...
Not sure what the hell people are talking about the tips... its stock...

Seeing people argue this makes me think twice about taking advice from the boards because some people have no clue

It's funny indeed. As soon as someones car runs properly and the way it should, everyone starts bitching and arguing. My 99 with gs d3's ran a 13.60 stock but im not goin to start an argument or debate because I didn't run that 12.

Good run and drivin!

I agree. It's quite a few people around that doubt their own cars potential just because they aren't competent behind the wheel. That's too bad.

This is the internet, there is always gonna be arguements. You havent figured that out yet? I have no trouble believing a stock/DR/M6 car running in good air with a good driver ran high 12s. As a matter a fact I think just about any LS1 4th gen under those circumstances would run this. Actually its really not that impressive come to think about it
