What Is Your Least Favorite Mod?
Curious as to what mods you guys have done that you've ending up hating or regretting - or found to be simply a waste of money.
I'll start. Mine are SFC's. They increased impact harshness, making my nice ride harsh, stiff, and jarring. And worst of all, they're welded on. I really regret putting them on - and they've been on for years.

Haha agreed, I hate seeing that hood on LT1 Camaros as well.
Gotcha...Edited: I hated using the BFH mod on my rear wheel wells today to install my rims. Every hit brought a tear to my eye. But she looks sexy with the C5 deep dishes now.

I think the point is your least favorite mod on YOUR car. Not anything you've ever seen.

The relocated torque arm I have right now. I won't mention the company since they are a sponsor and they have great products I just don't like the torque arm much. Clunky and moves around too much for my tastes. Yes it tightened properly, no the bushings aren't worn out.

Worst mod I did was when I painted the stock wheels Graphite. It looked good at first but I grew to hate it eventually. Bought 18's just over a year later.
And RevGTO your SFC are doing their job it's just that they have stiffened up the chassis enough to make you feel how crappy the stock shocks are.

The only thing I every hated was a shift stick. I had a WS6store short stick for YEARS, then decided to try the angled UMI piece. Didn't like it at all so 2 days later I switched back to the WS6store one. At this point in the game, that's the only part I didn't like. Next up in the rear end, but I like to think I do enough research on parts and what path I want to take with the car to make my choice correctly the first time.

Which is why I went to Bilsteins on Sam Strano's advice right after installing the SFC's. They made a huge difference. But when I went to Koni's on the front later on for the lower perch, the overall stiffness was over the top again. Just too harsh on the rough surfaces we have around here.

I'm not sure where Quincy is, but Lincolnwood is the very first town due north of Chicago, on I94.
On the issue of SFCs, I actually don't mind the stiffness at all. I have them on my '98, and I like the more solid feel they seem to give the car. I would definitely do that mod again.

No, u joint install went great. I also put in UMI LCAs with the poly bushings, and the poly torque arm mount. I swapped DS but only had a DS and used my original yoke. So they arent balanced to each other, this may be my issue.

I tried and took back off, a relocating crossmember.
That'd make it #1 I guess. The rest I haven't done
anything about.
I have a tubular K-member that broke, and I had to
weld it. Poor return in terms of pounds shed, per buck
even without that (I added maybe 5 pounds of steel
to make it tougher). If I had it to do over, I'd "Swiss
cheese" a stocker. Or not even.
My next undo is to take out the 160 thermostat and
go back to stock temp range.
After that I'm seriously considering taking off the long
tubes and going to shorties plus cat deletes (I have
the hardware, waiting). Just to get rid of some of
the slop they bring to closed loop operation, mainly.
I have a converter that keeps me over 5000RPM at
WOT, so it's not like I'll see any midband torque help
that long tubes might be giving.

poly transmission mount. it stayed in and turned the cabin into a giant vibrator (whenever going over 50mph) long enough for the oem replacement to arrive in the mail.
