Well I was going to get the converter with the camshaft and such. But yeah a converter is a pretty good mod the automatics. I was thinking about buying a Yank 3600-4000 for my SS when I get a converter

Pretty good? How about the best...? And I am by no means exaggerating. I don't know of any other mod (besides power adders) that will give you as much e/t reduction as a converter.

Ok, now now no need be a douche about it. I'm going to get one though for sure. I mean then I could do a cam swap.

It was just the way you were like, "Pretty good? ITS THE BEST" or w/e you did. It was cocky. Don't worry about it.

Umm yeah I plan to get a Yank so it's all good

I was making an emphasis of how important a converter was. I came in this thread to help you out, not to be called a douche. I have been in your position and know what its like to "waste" money. You want the best bang for the buck and the converter is it.

Good decision on getting a converter any how.

What accessories do need to do such as beefing up the 4l60 to accommodate the new stall?

Tranny cooler.. You can buy one from Autozone for around 50$ IIRC.

Get the biggest cooler you can fit. I did a transgo shiftkit at the same time. Mine is mounted on the front of the condensor but if you want an alternative go in the tranny section and search dope style....

Good choice on the Yank. I have run them in both my 4th gens. A stall is not anything to cheap out on....

How much do shift kits usually go for and is it something you can easily do yourself?

I would do headers first. Check out the classified section. I got a REALLY GOOD DEAL on my ceramic coated headers and Y-pipe. Both brand new for $260 SHIPPED!

I'm doing the stall once I decide to buy a cam which will not be before headers.

Curiosity.. Why would you not do a converter before any mod?

What's a fair estimate for paying a shop to install the converter? Or is it a reasonable install? I've seen pictures and it looks beyond what I feel like messing with...

I wanna get that sound first, if you know what I mean. Don't worry the tq converter isn't forgotten. I'll HAVE to get one if I do a cam swap, which most likely will happen.

I got them from a member on here. That's why I said check the classifieds. They're Pacesetter ceramic coated LT's with AIR/EGR with the Y pipe. I sold the Y-pipe a while ago though.
