I think it just makes peiple feel like their car has a little mystery to it. Most people mod there ls1 or install a modded lq4 or something then call it an lsx. I thought the lsx was a block sold by gm performance but whatever. I put a lid on my ta so I guess I modded it from an ls1 to an lsx.... Just my thoughts so don't scream at me.

Yea, I agree, LSX = LS1 with LS6 parts, and add LS2 stuff, then add non LS mods that are MADE for LS engines, the you can have your mutant monster LSX car. There is, however, LSX parts so you can have it both ways IMO. Some say tomato, some say tomahto, but it still makes ketchup.

An "LSX Car", in my opinion, refers to any vehicle that came standard with an LS engine. LS1, LS6, LS9, etc.
"LSX" on it's own could refer to the LS family of engines (the x is a variable), or it could be referring to the actual "LSX" block made by GM performance.
Why do automotive forums like to debate trivial semantics and spelling so much?
