Get a hold of SLP or Dave Hamberger on the Special vehicles section and give them your vin#.

Yes, any year of LS1 SS was offered as a hardtop standard, T-tops or 'vert were an option.

To verify that it's an SS, just check the SPID sticker on the driver's door. Make sure that the VIN on that sticker matches the car, then look for the code "WU8". If you see that, it's a real SS.

Yes, there were hard top SS'. Look at the door codes. Make sure it says WU8, also give your vin to one of the guys on here from SLP, I believe someone already mentioned that above, he'll tell you right off the bat if it is, if so he'll give you your build number.

My SS is a hardtop, no traction control and cloth interior. not all SS's have to be decked out. ive seen one with manual windows, no power seats, no traction control etc( That one was actually the option till i found my SOM ss )

Haha my SS has a tape player instead of the monsoon CD player..Apparently mine was ordered according to the second owner to get the SOM color. But i wouldnt mind having a no option car for a strip car
