Default Monsoon Road Volume Adjustment

I figured I would post this here, as opposed to the Stereo/Electronics section where they're discussing some hardcore stereo equipment/sound, since I'm simply referring to the stock Monsoon sound system found in the F-Body.

I've noticed (now, I'm not crazy, am I?) that when playing a CD, as soon as I hop onto the thruway or get up to speed on an open road, the Monsoon does and auto-volume adjust; I would presume that this is a 'luxury' feature, intended to compensate for road noise. Once I slow the car down, the volume then turns down just a bit.

The question: how do I turn the feature off?

There is a selector located around the volume ****. It has I think 4 different settings. Turn it counter-clockwise like you are turning down the volume and it will shut it off. This description may not help but it is the best I can do without showing a picture of it. Sorry man.

Exactly what these guys said. It's a ring around the volume ****, turn it all the way counter-clockwise.

Haha yeah it's labeled as SVC and I wasn't sure what the hell it did until I started playing with it. Turned it all the way to right before jumping on the highway to work, did a quick blast into 4th and woke myself up in a couple ways.
