Thats too much money for that car.

Thats a 12-13k car if its in really good condition and the trans wasnt messed up. Some people dont understand, just b/c you put all that money into the car it DOES NOT make the value go up.

So whats a new trans or to have the 6 speed rebuilt? $1500-2000? I dont know, im asking. Take that price away from the offer price and let him know about that. If it doesnt work out, it wasnt meant to be and keep on looking.

I offered 15k but he wouldnt even go down to 16k , he said 17k is the lowest he'll go. So I guess I'll keep on looking and keep my money in the bank.

Thanks for all the opinions and advice. Man I wish i could get a modded ws6 for a good deal. I looked at 3 ws6s in my area and the first one was total junk for 8k, the 2nd one was 11k but had 110,000miles and was stock, and this procharged one is to much dough.

Well, just wait around. I doubt he is going to unload it for 17K. Let him know that if it doesn't sell after X time, your offer may still be good.

If he wants to sell it he'll come down.

Good decision! Personally I would stay clear of that car. I think you would end up having more issues then anything. Sit tight, something more worthwhile will come along.

Didn't read it all but just make sure it's not thrown together. I completely wasted a lot of money buying a procharged WS6 when I didn't know anything.

It may be the engle of that pic but that hood does not look like a true GM WS6 hood. If thats the case it's worth even less.

Very wise move to pass on this car. $13,000 is still too much.

The only cars that are even worth half of what the mods cost are shop built cars like say a car that went to Lingenfelter or Callaway and was completely built by them at their shop. Any other car that's modded is usually worth less than a completely stock one with like miles in like condition. Don't ever let anyone else tell you otherwise.

I just put togather a 01 ws6, ported LS6 heads, MTI cam, longtubes, MTI throttlebody, put 460hp to the wheels. Something is wrong with the set up on that car, i would pass it up.

I hate dirty engine bays, a sign of neglect/laziness imo.
