285/30R20 Drag Radial
Who would be interested in a 285/30R20 Nitto 555R drag radial or BFGoodrich KDW drag radial if they made one with close to 100 treadwear rating. I e mailed nitto and BFGoodrich and they both said they would consider it and was going to come out with some new sizes. If we show a nuff interest they will make it so i'm asking for some support here.
I know for a fact the Nitto 555R is a GREAT daily tire it's soft a nuff that you can see 1.5 short times with proper heat cycle (these tires like a big burnout) and on the same note i have got over 20,000 mile out of a set before on the same note i have got as low as 8,000 miles out a set also but at that time my car stayed at the track that was well over 150 passes. they also tread water more than good a nuff to daily drive on.
I really wish BFGoodrich would make a softer KDW NT in a 285/30R20 to compete this tread pattern is def better in the rain and i think (could be wrong) it would make a very nice drag radial for us 350-600 rwhp guys.
you can show support by posting you would be interested in this size or by posting the size you would like. or by taking it a step farther and going to Nittotire.com then contact them and sending your own message to them on the subject. OR going to BFGoodrich.com and doing the same with them they are like all other companies they feed on comments and replys of customers so lets let them have it.
I think its safe to say everyone here wants more traction huh or if you don't know the metric size you can always tell them you want something real close to 27x11.5x20 or whatever it maybe
Help me out here please thanks

Mickey Thompson makes a 20" drag radial. They probably won't have the same life as a nitto but are a good drag radial.

zracer323, I really dont know anyone with a LSX camaro that would want the 20 inch mickey thompson DR because its 29 inches tall I think 26 or 27 is as tall anyone would want in them just because I believe even the factory LS camaro tires are 25 and a half inches tall so that would be a super tall tire at 29 inches now if Nitto came out with a 285/30/20 I would definately be interested because you could run tires for traction with some pretty 20 inch wheels that would set the Camaro off and also give you great traction that would be a WIN WIN there...... 285/25.4 = 11.22 inches wide and 11.22 * .30 = 3.366 * 2 for both sidewalls = 6.732 + 20 for wheel >>> 26.732 definately will work for fbodys and the newer Camaros also.....
