keep the ws6 or buy a vette?

ya it depends on the money aspect of it. if some one is willing to give you $10Gs for the TA i would sell. or if you could get a great deal on a c5 i would buy. just depends on the deal. personalty i think that, ever you have, you will always want more. so if you have a c5 you will always be drooling over the c6 vettes. ect ect......
p.s. Personalty only vette i would have would be a zo6 but thats me.

i love the looks of any fbody, id put them on par with any c5. as long as they are in equally good condition, id take the vette any day of the week. the fact that "the t/a isnt made any more" is something i would personally never think about and i see at least 5 to 6 ws6's for every normal t/a i see anyways (let alone formulas). go test drive a vette and see how you like it. that should give you ALOT of insight into your decision. i personally agree on the manuals being more fun in a DD, just not if i saw any traffic, but that is all personal preference and plenty of other people will be on the reverse side of the coin. now a C6, hands down IMO better lookign than any fbody since the 1st gens (even some 2nd gens) and a C6Z is sex on wheels. if you can swing an '05 C6, id say do it and dont look back. youll never regret it. even some LS3s are dipping into low 30k's...

I have a circle d stall which was built for me and is a 4-4200k stall. and i would not hesitate to daily drive it with this stall. my stall is very loose, but thats the way i want it. you can have a stall that is tight and it wouldnt bother you one bit.
but if it was me. (my car is paid off) i would keep my current car and save up for a vette. why sell something that is paid for?

I have an 02 Z06 and DD'd it for 2 years. It worked great for me for that. I love this care. It's comfortable, the HUD is great, and the dual climate control kicks *** if you have a girl that rides with you who is always cold. That being said if you want something unique don't go with a vette. They are all over the place now, but if you want something that is a hellofa lotta fun to drive I'd go with the Z!
Can't go wrong with either. I went through the same dilemma. I wanted a Firehawk or Z06. Found the vette first. It is a good dilemma to be in though!

Unless i could get a c6 zo6, I wouldn't make the change imho. I just think that you can continually chase after the newer models and it just won't ever end. Some people have already alluded to that in this thread. I agree with the interior and comfortability factor of the fbodies as being pretty lame, however. Oh, and just get a daily driver so that you can appreciate the TA as more of a hobby or toy car.

Keep the T/A. ^^^ I don't see where people are getting that a fourth gen t/a is not comfortable? I have been in many many cars, and frankly I find my hawk extremely comfortable for long trips, and the side bolster support is awesome for those high speed corners I believe that the Camaro's seats are not in the same ballpark as the T/A's though however. That's my opinion.

The biggest thing Im tired of with my trans am is the automatic transmisson. I rarely if ever go to the track so I think the stall idea is out. From what Ive read alot of people say sell the car and buy another with a 6 spd instead of swapping trans in mine. I thought if I sold mine Id debate and go all out by buying a c5 z06..I dont have the funds for a C6..so heres where Im at
1.)swap a 6 spd into my car
2.)sell my car and go vette. probably Z06 even though Im not a hard top fan
I dont want a camaro or gto.

Keep The WS6, Personally I Love T/A's My Favorite GM Car. Once We Finish Building This One Up We Plan On A Second Gen T/A (*Cough* 7.5L *Cough*)
The C5 Just Doesn't Do it For Me. They Are Sweet Cars. But You Can't Beat An F-Body Especially A Discontinued Car....

I havent compared them lately but parts are alot more expensive for corvettes. I would keep the ws6 and put in a 6 spd. I really didnt like my stock ss anymore and wanted to sell. Had to replace the engine and got carried away with it and now have whats in my sig. Its a head tuner for sure now.

I'd get the Vette. I'm not a Fbody fanboy though, just a fan of performance. The only reason I got into an Fbody is bang for your buck and an LS1. I just sold my Camaro last week and I don't regret it one bit. Onto a LS1 RX7 for me.

I will add a Vette in the garage right next to my non-WS6 one day as well.

you might have well asked, "Coke or Pepsi?" on this one. The likes and dislikes are endless on both ends.
I always wanted a 'vette until I got my Fbody. I wouldnt trade my T/A for anything.. but I'd probably say the same the other way if I had ended up in a C5.
