automatic shifter **** question...
ok so im confused. i want to get the ss shifter **** for auto trannys, http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=1823, and there is also an auto shift **** adapter on there, http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=1860. my question is, do i have to buy the adapter to?i know this may sound like a dumb question but in the pic i cant even tell what the difference is with the adapter. i dont want to buy it if i do not have to. all input would be helpful. Thanks!

It's just an aluminum adapter that has threads on the top. It will mount to the portion of the auto shifter that moves. You'll be shifting gears by pushing straight down on the ****, and there will be no button anymore.
I've got the Black Firebird Phoenix ****. I know MBA is out of business from 2005, but did anyone take over for them? I figured they'd be harder and harder to come by these days.

The shaft can be shortened just be careful and make sure there is enough room to push the **** down to shift out of park. I shortened mine with a dremel and had to drill a little bit into the shaft for the set screw on the adapter.
