My LS1 has been pretty reliable as well. Only issue I have had so far is bad axle bearings.
I REALLY like the G8 GT's...I want one badly, but I do not have the coin. I will not try to talk you into keep your F-body like most guys here will, but think it through. I have bought and sold a lot of guys and I have regretted a couple of them.
Every year or so I get an unbearable desire for something else...most recent one was a Typhoon lol.

I'd vote for a G8 GT or TB SS. The TBSS gets shitty gas milage though.
Also, if you dont like the camaro's, and want a new "sports car" check out the new 5.0's. Those are ******* sick. I went for a ride in one the other day and I was really impressed. They start at $33K also.

Even a 2wd 4.2L Trailblazer gets shitty MPG. Honestly, I have driven a few TBSS' at work and I was far far far from impressed. It is not very fast and like others said the gas mileage is probably horrific.

Ha! Because Jeeps are the epitome of reliability.
Actually, I shouldn't say that...my '97 GC just hit 150k and runs like a champ.
I'd go with a Hemi Charger or Magnum, the prices have come down on those alot.
I'd also look into a first gen CTS-V, those are great too.
I also really like the suggestion of the LS2 Goat though, that's a great, comfy DD while also being fast, and most likely under 20k.
My next car is prob going to be a 4 door, so I'm really lking thecars I mentioned above, they're all on my list, and prob the G8 if I can afford one at the time. I like the look of the Charger/Magnum much more though.

Just going to replace the springs with stock ones for now and drive it on the weekends. The Cobalt is my DD. Slow, but newish, rides good and does everything I need it to do. I like The Balt. its a pretty good car.

Ding, ding, ding. I agree with this guy, these thing are fast, never drove or been in one but I have seen them in action. There is a member on her with a cts-v with the ls2 and a six speed, that thing is sexy, has full exhaust and cold air intake, untuned, and runs like crazy for its size and wieght.

If you like your ride and it's decent, then keep it. Start saving a car payment every month and then when you find something you will be even more prepared.
My wife ended up driving mine every day when her Subaru broke and when she started, she said she didn't care about the 'sporty' part of it. Then a week or so later on the phone, she mumbled 'not in this car, buddy' ROFL

My buddy ownes a G8. He has had a 94 z28 a 98 z28 and he has a 73 z28 with an ls1 swap and since he has had the G8 he says its the best car he has owned. Rides good it has enough room to put his daughter in the back and it still ripps. Awesome car I drive a 2000 z28 and I'm a little jealous lol.
