Default Exhaust clips before/after: Magnaflow disappointment

Both clips are with Pacesetter Long Tube Headers and Pacesetter Off Road Y Pipe. The first was stock catback with a Flowmaster muffler welded in. Second is a Magnaflow Catback. The old setup sounded/looked a lot better, but the Magnaflow flows better and that's what I was looking for. It's quieter than I'd hoped though. And the tips look ugly as hell. I'll have to fab up my Corsa clones sometime soon.

I agree. I wanted a solid exhaust that wasn't harsh or loud for me cause I drive my SS a lot. The magnaflow has a nice tone until you really jump on it, then it kinda comes to life. Def. not loud by most standards though.

They both sound good. I'm also partial to Flowmaster though, has more of an old school sound to it. If you like the Flowmaster sound and want the most possibile power when racing, just get a cutout. Best of both worlds, IMO.

I'm partial to the Magnaflow. Maybe because that's what I've got.

Going to have to agree with not liking the Magnaflow as much and going to swap up to something else in the near future. I've had a lot of trouble with lining up the exhaust and half tempted to remove the muffler and just have it dump over the axle. Going to be loud as hell but oh well, there are no noise ordinance laws here

If the Magnaflow is brand new then wait for it to break in before being disappointed. My Magnaflow was very quiet when I put it on and took a few days before it really starting souding better.

I kept my slp tips when I switched to magnaflow. Had to add little extension pipes to make it work but it was way worth it compared to the loudness of the slp. Magnaflow is a daily driver exhaust but still has a little kick when you get into it. Flowmaster only seems right on older cars...

My magnaflow is loud IMO, I have to try to be quiet at night.... I mean I guess it's quiet for aftermarket exhaust. I am deffinitely happy with it, best purchase I've made!!!

I just ditched the chokemaster for the Magnaflow. Quiet at idle but comes to life in the upper rpm range. Magnaflow ftw!

I had magnaflow for about 2 weeks. I hated it. It was quieter than the stock setup. I put LM1 on yesterday and fell in love with my car again. I love this exhaust so much. Perfect sound.

The magnaflow is nice for when you want to have fun on the street and not have every cop in town hear you plus if you want it louder then stick with a stock exhaust and just get cutouts
