Stock stall is a 12" case with a 1600rpm stall speed. The aftermarket ones usually have a smaller case and a higher stall speed ranging from 2000 to 5000+ rpm.

"Locked" simply means that the torque converter clutch has been engaged (locked) on the dyno to produce less slip and thus a higher dyno number. The TCC (torque converter clutch) makes an auto behave more like a maunal trans while locked, taking some of the power loss of a torque converter out of the equation.

"Unlocked" would be the normal setting for an auto trans when at WOT (like on a dyno). With a stock trans/TC/PCM/no manual switch, the TCC would never lock under WOT conditions.

Agree with you on this one!! I was thinking the same thing!! so i think he will get his 25ish rwhp with and ls6 intake a stall converter high flow cats or if possible remove the cats and a tune!!

get a good stall. I got a 9.5" 3000 stall converter from performabuilt and it was a huge match maker for my setup/cam

ported ls1 heads 228/228/.588/.588 112lsa
