Should I buy a C6, 2010 Camaro SS, or 335i
I'm looking to buy a new car in hte near future. My big problem is I'm torn between a 2005-07 C6, a 2007-08 BMW 335i, or the new Camaro SS. I've had a 2002 Z06, and loved it!!!! I'd like to get a C6 Z in a couple years whenI can afford one without breaking the bank, which is why I'm hesitant to get a C6. The C5 and C6 are very different, but very similar in regards to how everything feels sitting in the car, and driving it around. What I mean is a C5 and C6 are a lot more similar then a C5 and a BMW 335i, if that makes sense. So I was thinking I'd change it up a bit with a BMW or the new SS.
The reason I sold the C5was becuase it was my daily driver and after driving it for almost 2 years, it got to be a pain to drive around town. Always having to worry about bottoming out in drive ways, parking lots, speed bumps, etc... Also, it was too low to use any kind of security gate or drive up ATM that used a key pad. Another thing that wore on me was the lack of cargo space, it made picking anyone up from or taking to the airport a hassle. At the time I didn't have a garage, so it would annoy me when I would wash it and the next day or two later it would be filthy looking, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to dirt and water spots. All of these things are not that big of a deal, but after that amount of time I just wanted to drive something else, so I got an SUV. Basically because I don't bottom out anywhere, have cargo space, and could care less how dirty it gets.
Now I can't stand having an SUV. I can't seem to decide between the 3 cars I listed though. The SS would be most expensive, but comes with the warranty which is nice because I am not a mechanically inclined individual. All the 335’s I’ve seen are going to have like 30-40k miles on them and cost between 26k and 29k. The Camaro’s are obviously brand new or slightly used so they have like 0-10k miles on them and they are all 29-33k. I've seen 2 different C6 vettes near me, they are both 2005 A4, one is a convertible with nav and 31k miles for 29k and the other has 13k miles, yes 13k miles for 29,900. I've seen the C6's go for between 26-29k with 35k miles or less though.
Another thing I should mention is I do not have a place to wash my car. I live in an apartment complex with a parking garage. Which is actually kind of nice because it does help keep the car cleaner then it would parked on the street or in a driveway. I bring that up because I would have to take it somewhere to be washed, and I don't believe you can put a vette through an automatic car wash, which I would HATE to do, but would have to do that or have it hand washed all the time, which can be pricey if I'm not doing it and considering how OCD I am about my cars being clean.
Ok with all that said I really respect the opinions of my fellow forum members and would like to hear what you all think. Thanks in advance as this thread will hopefully help me come to a decision on what to buy.

Considering your annoyances with the C5, I recommend the BMW. You won't have the power or handling of the C6, but it will be much more user friendly around town - get it in silver and the dust/water spots are that much easier to keep clean.
Don't get me wrong, the C6 is a great car, but won't have the room and ease of use that the 335 has. The 2010 Camaro is a nice car too. In the end, each decision is a winner in my books - just suggested the 335 for practicality and nothing else.

05 C6's carried over the A4 from the C5 years. 06+ all got the A6. Couldn't tell you why.
OP: it seems like you're looking for something a little more drivable. Out of your three options I'd say find a low-mile 335i. Very few cars on the road look better than a 335i Coupe. The sedans look nice too and would make for a nice sleeper, if you're looking to mod. But that's just my $0.02, take it for what its worth.

I don't understand why you're considering another vette', when you mentioned worrying about bottoming out and lack of cargo space. And if cargo space is a big need, the BMW would be the best choice.

You werent a fan of DDing your C5, so I'd eliminate the C6.
If it were me, I'd go with the 2010 SS. Its new (has a warranty), powerful, and gets decent gas milage.
If you have a family to cart around, BMW. Just watch out for repair bills.

I personally would never consider purchasing a 2010 Camaro. I would much rather spend a little more and get a 08-11 ls3 vette over a camaro. however, a lot of times you can pick up an older c6z for around the same price as a ls3 vette. Either way i would just wait and save for a c6z

At the end of the day your a hot rod guy and the bmw isn't a hot rod. With that being said it really makes sense to buy the camaro for the simple fact that you will get the performance of the vette (almost) and it's way more practical than a corvette.
