Here is an idle video it sounds pretty decent I think.
Well, now that you watched the video, time for the bad news. Thursday night I believe I spun a rod bearing. I started to here a ticking after letting off of the gas after some "spirited driving" with a friend in his GTO Well, I like to look at the brighter side of things and I would like to say that it is a good thing that all of this stuff will bolt to the 6.0 liter block that I will be getting So stay tuned.

The rev limiter is set to 6800 so I don't think so. I think it was a lack of oiling issue...We thought it was top end because the noise sounded like it was coming from the passenger side head but we tore it down and everything up top was fine.

I really like this build, it's pretty much the same as what I want to do, but with a different cam. However, with 124k on the original trans, mine is definately going to get replaced before I install my H/C package lol. My way of thinking is to take care of everything else first before I start on my engine. I'd rather overbuild it for the power it's going to have, rather than pray nothing breaks after I spent all my money on the engine lol.

That is very true... I used to work for a shop and it's insane how much you pay just in labor to get something fixed. I'm glad I know how and have all the tools to do all my own work as well. The trans going out was just the gamble you took, some people don't have problems tossing a converter on a stock trans, some do. I learned a few years ago what it's like to spend all my money on the engine and none on the rest of the drive line in my old Mopar... hindsight is 20/20 when the rear axle is exploded all over the street
