Most hp on Stock Maniolds?
Just curious. What is the most rwhp you have seen from an LS1 TA/Camaro/Corvette with the stock exhaust manifolds? Just curious to see how far the car can be taken without adding headers.

Ive seen 325rwh with no mods on a dynojet. LT's are good for 25 with a 3" Y. I have never seen a cammed ls1 on stock manifolds, they all seem to have headers.

One of our club cars ('02 WS6, A4) made 510rwhp on ported stock manifolds with an ORY and a stock WS6 catback. This was with a mild cam, ported LS1 heads, and a procharger with smaller pulley. The idea at the time was to make the car look (and sound) as though it had a totally stock engine with just a basic blower kit (we used this car for street drags). I also remember a 580rwhp dyno run with a small shot of N2O on the same car/setup.

Im on this same boat. I would like to keep the car looking as factory as possible, but still hop it up a bit (cam, head work, ect). I had to take a manifold off when I was swapping cats cause the stud broke off and holy crap! I can't believe these cars make any power with as small of port they exhale out of.
Is there a LS manifold that bolts up like stock but breaths better or is porting the stock manifolds the only option?

You can make plenty of power and get good times (Ive seen several cars running 11's with stock manifolds) you just have to do research and put together a good setup. For example I know a while back Thunder Racing made a cheatR cam or something like that, and it was designed to make good upper power with stock manifolds. Or there is always the turbo, s/c, or N20 route that will make good power on manifolds

Is there a reason you want to run stock manifolds? Just curious.

??? They are talking power numbers with stock manifolds and you post up a random hp/tq with headers and intake.....
I don't see why you would cam and to headwork on your car but want it to "appear" stock under the hood.. at that point you've modified a whole lot. I kind of understand, but you will just be choking the motor even with ported manifolds.
Why not get some LT headers and an extremely quiet exhaust setup?

im making 380rwhp with stock intake manifold and stock exhaust. Im going to try to squeeze 11s out of her. untuned it ran 114mph one pass then the ls1 clutch died. since that i got a tune and installed a ls7 clutch and picked up more than 20hp.
stock appearing is very popular, especially from the old musclecar guys.

Turn the factory manifolds backwards and add a turbo. Make >800whp and you've still got manifolds.
Another guy here planning on keeping the stock manifolds and possibly doing a sleeper H/C setup.
To all the know-it-all's...I've already had the race heads, huge cam, LT header's with 3" duals making 460rwhp and 2 different twin turbo setup's making 600rwhp....not interested in doing that again.
Im interested in using CNC ported 241's, LS6 cam or similar cam, + bolton's and make a total stock sounding, 400rwhp driver. To the common folk, all they would see would be a aftermarket Lid & a aftermarket catback.

Just ordered my custom EPS bumpstick.....can't wait !!!!!!
Thanks Goeff !!!!!! what a knowledgeable & freindly guy.........
Very similar to the cam in BoostedNismo's thread (few tweaks per the app.)
Won't have #'s w/manifolds till spring as Milwaukee just got hammered w/25" snow........OUCH
