Go to your nearest Radio Shack or computer parts place, and pick up an aerosol can of electronics parts cleaner. It works well and evaporates very quickly. That is what most of us use. Some cleaners will leave a film on whatever they clean, and that would screw up your MAF readings. Only use electronics cleaner.

I use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, I've stuck to that method for about a decade without any issues.

You want an electrical / electronic cleaner that
-does not- say anything about "lubricates". Some
contact cleaners do, some don't.
But cleaning the MAF may not do anything for misfires,
even if misfires are real (which is not necessarily the
case).
