Default Dynomax Bullet vs SLP Loudmouth

I can get either one for roughly the same price, brand new. I leaning towards the LM because it is stainless steel and the Dynomax is only aluminzed.
These are just the resonators, not a cat-back. I'm just going to swap out the factory muffler.
So anyway, I assume they sound roughly the same and flow roughly the same. Is that an accurate assumption? Am I overlooking anything in my decision making process?

I had the LM1 first and then went with a LM2 resonator, now I have the Dynomax resonator and I can tell you its about as loud as the LM2.

The LM1 is basically just a straight pipe with nothing inside, the LM2 has some baffles so it quiets it down slightly and the Dynomax has a little more baffling and in my opinion sounds better...still loud as all hell lol.

Dynomax. I doubt you'll regret your decision.

Thanks for the info fellas. Seems the Dynomax Bullet is able to overcome the LM's stainless steel construction by having better sound quality and being a couple of db quieter. Also, the Dynomax retails about $30-40 cheaper.

I had a LM1 and I loved it but the drone was bad. I have a LM2 now and I also love it but I think it's slightly too quiet. Now I don't know what I want to do.

I loved it too but the drone was a bit much. This was on a '01 6-spd with stock manifolds and catted y pipe. The LM2 on my '02 Z with an A4 is really refined compared to the LM but it doesn't bring the noise when I want it to. I'm wondering if LT headers will bring up the db a bit.

I agree. Only downside is a little drone on the highway but that's when i turn on the music. You kind of have to expect it anyways.

That is very cool of you to offer your LM1, but I've went with the Dynomax Bullet. Thanks again for that offer....Rock on.
