Fbody or z06

To be honest this is a pointless debate.
If you want a 500-700 rwhp drag car, fbody is what you need because its cheaper to mod & easier to work on in your driveway.
If you want a fun weekend car, without a question z06 is what you want.
Get a nice sounding exhaust, Cam & spray with supporting mods.

Yea, basically there are F body guys that have and prefer F bodies to corvettes. And then there are Guys who have corvettes that prefer Corvettes, and then there are F body guys who wish they had vettes. Either way it comes down to personal preference.
5-7 hundred HP can be achieved with either car as they have the same engine. Only difference is that the Bolt Ons for the Corvette are going to cost more, and if you break anything it will probable cost more to fix. But at the end of the day if you can afford either it should come down which one you like the looks and interior of better.

Vettes are common, and I freaking love the WS6, hecc sometimes I just turn around just to look at my ws6 when going into the office. Sex on wheels indeed...BUT!!!!!!!!!!!
Z06 has the power to weight ratio to begin with and can destroy many other cars not only at the track but in the twisties as well

I have both... 2002 c5z06 and a 98 trans am A4...
z06 feels like a better made car that is pretty solid. My trans am has more rattles even though its in pretty good condition.
I would choose the z06 if i were you. But if you want to heavily modify, then go WS6, since it will be cheaper. Cant go wrong either way.

I have both as well. You cannot compare the two as they are totally different experiences. If you want a world-class sportscar (still), the C5Z is the best bang-for-buck out there right now. However, it is expensive overkill for a 1/4-mile toy. The clutches are very PITA/$$$ for example...
The LS1 F-body will be cheaper to buy, cheaper to mod, and cheaper to replace broken stuff (which at 700+HP is a given) while still delivering good looks and 80% of the C5Z's handling prowess.

the c5z for an all around is a better car. suspension is already done, no need to upgrade. you have bigger wheels in rear, no need to upgrade. that's 3-4k of upgrades on a ws6 to get a 12 bolt/nice shocks and some bigger wheels out back.
my only issue with all corvette's is the seats suck. they are not comfy. but the camaro/firebird seats suck too.

Same cars I considered before buying my z28.
I am not a Vette guy(they are great cars though). They just give me that mid life crsis feeling and the interior feels way tight to me.
I bought my z and dumped some cash into it.
Plus you see Vettes everywhere, my z still gets compliments due to it's rarity.
Just my opinion.
