I had a 6 speed. Rev it, dump clutch, left foot jump over to brake and hold, floor gas, hold until you are satisfied.

Line locks ftw!

ahh. i remember my first burnout in the 6. made the gurls sqwirt their jeans...

now its sitting under a tarp with a spun bearing.
i suggest not beating on a stock ls1/t56/10 bolt
however... i usually dumped at 2500 in 1st or 3000K in 2nd. held brakes and waft that all too familiar smell...
actually got a ticket for an "unsafe start"...... damn you scuba steve...

M6, I usually get going about 25 mph then punch it in first to break loose, and then rip all the way through second, then a little in third. This video is of dumping the clutch though.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7I4xXlyLhU

My tires dont really squeel until they are smoking like crazy. Just like in your vid when you dump the clutch they spin but you dont hear anything at first.

if it your first time doing burn out on m6, if you see smoke, look back and make sure the smoke is coming from your tire and not your clutch.

Im my A4, I do the following....

1. Shift down to L2
2. Press the brake.
3. Flip the on switch.
4. Press the little red button.
5. Let off the brake.
6. Hit the gas.
7. Melt the tires.
8. Press the red button again.
9. Leave some black marks.

I find this thread amusing; how could anyone possibly need advise on how to do a burnout with an LS1? If you're on street tires, just hit the gas...

The more important question is how do you get an LS1 to hook?!

Abuse? Why would that shift be so hard on the trans? I always start in first because the tires spin up faster with less wheelhop. Shift to second, bring the r's up until they start to pull down.

1- Set line lock
2- Drop clutch in second gear
3- Spin 'em till you get bored, flip off the switch, hit third and ride it out
4- Circle back around to pick up the hot chicks you just impressed
5- Beat feet, the cops are on their way
