i have an extra $2500 to spend what should i buy?
im thinking of either doing a nice heads and cam set up or buying a used vortech supercharger from somebody on here, which direction do you guys think i should go? my mods are: long tubes performabuilt trans with 4k stall 342 gears and bbk intake with lid

Generally its a lot cheaper to go h/c then it is forced induction while keeping the same level of reliability. Having a high HP s/c'ed car is a lot more complicated then just bolting the s/c on and turning the boost up.

Also I think a used vortech + install is going to run more than $2500 unless the vortech is near toasted or you are doing the install yourself, which isn't always as easy as it seems.
Also remember S/C can really heat things up under the hood temp wise, melt wires/etc
Gluck with whatever you choose You could always get the H/C now as recommended and the next time you have some spare cash do the S/C and have all the supporting stuff done, instead of having to do it backward.

+1 for the rear end.
Build your drivetrain then never worry about it again. Add power periodically after that. That H/C package may seem tempting but when you do all that work and then blow your rear end your car will be down a while and you have around 3 grand of unforeseen expenses.
