i don't know about that. i've seen cars on street tires that will blow the tires off on the street, hook up on the track with the same tires. and not because they're leaving the line any easier. i could see how VHT would have a greater affect on drag tires, but i still think it'd help a street tire as well.
you don't have to believe me, you just have to believe vht. the cars blowing their tires off on the street are probably due to surface contamination. the track is less likely to have water, rocks, and oil on the surface.

Not sure of your DA but seems about right to me and in the neighborhood of most "stock" cars I see. Mine ran 13.6 at at 103 lid/catback on a 2.0 60'. Remember an A4 will never MPH what a stick car will. No factory freak but a strong car none the less...
Thanks very much for that info! I didnt know they were made by Michelin. They seem to be a pretty good tire all around, i really dont mind them at all. The same night at the track my buddy with a tuned 02 m6, lid and catback was only trapping 106mph, but with horrible 2.4-2.5 60fts lol. He was squeeling the tires going into 3rd, the track was not good at all.

I just got done ordering a new p&p tb, gonna install it at the same time as my damn new acdelco waterpump and hopefully see a mph improvement would be nice. When im all said in done, id be happy trapping 110mph, definately gonna need headers and a stall for that.

Do you guys think an a4 could trap 110mph with full bolt ons? Do you think a fast intake is a must, and do you think i'll require a higher stall converter to get there?

Thanks for the help guys!

I trapped a 112.9 mph with A4, 3.23 gears, SLP lid, Magnaflow catback, and Diablosport tune. So with a little practice, 110 mph wouldn't be out of the question for you.

Holy Crap how is that possible. With your same mods I trapped 110.9 mph and I'm an M6. That was also fully deweighted and in negative DA. I'd like to see the time slip for that one.

That's better than mine, I had a lid and very little suspension on my car and I could only muster a 13.9. My 60' was like a 2.5 b/c I was spinning like all the way through 1st and I was nervous since it was my first time drag racing my car lol.

Yeah, I was pretty shocked myself that day. The best time I ran that day was a 12.68 and my best mph was the 112 mentioned above. All day I was running 110-111 but the last run got me that 112 (with a little wheel hop.) I'm on a drillship in the middle of the GOM right now so when I get home I'll scan the timeslip and post it. Hope it comes out cuz last time I dug them out of my glove box they were pretty faded.

I trapped 111 MPH in my 02 z28 with a SS 3600 stall, pacesetter longtubes, y pipe, dyno Max cat back, lid, free mods, p&p TB, and a Diablo tune. My best is a 12.3 btw. Also this is with 2.73 rear gears. Before the stall and headers with above mods I was running 13.0s @ 107 108. Def. More in the car....
