Default z06 / ls1 fbody

Is it really harder to work on a lets say 2002 z06 than a LS1 Fbody? Im interested in getting an 02 Z06 but was wondering if its that much harded to do anything to it than a ls1 fbody. thanks guys

Not too much harder to work on unless you have to do a clutch install.

It shouldnt be that much harder to work on a Z06 than a f-body. The engines are basically the same... The biggest differences are the trans/rear diff. Other than that, if you can do something on a f-body, you should be able to do it on a Z06.

Easier to work on the Z06 by far...unless it involves the tranny/diff. The engine is much more accessible for sure...

cool. that sounds encouraging . i dont know much about diff/tranny anyway. other than to take down and put it up. but never done that to a Z06. isnt it in the rear of the car ??

Yep...trans is out back...connected by a "torque-tube".

They're the same (essentially) aside from the Transaxle.
