Mine made 306/324 bone stock and 317/330 with lid and cutout. Haven't dynoed it in its current state but I would guess 330 ish. Nothing special.

I usually trap high 113mph with no back seat, pass. seat, spare tire/jack and empty fuel tank with 159lbs driver

UD pulley and ORY would push me to over 350whp and a solid 114mph trap.
And my car has the LS6 intake, so maybe I am over 300WHP.

What were the specs on your mail ordered tune? I might be interested in tuning my car.

Also, how do you remove the back seat and passenger seat? How much weight do you save by doing this?

706/641 on 13.7psi. I just installed a bigger ATI crank pulley and a smaller blower pulley. Hoping for 16-18psi and over 800 wheel. Motor is a forged 370 with a F1 procharger. Stage 3 LS6 heads, custom grind blower cam, 6spd and a 9"

Tuned by "Frost" a well known member on this site. Very reputable tuner. You send him your PCM and a list of your mods and he tunes it for you.

You can remove the back and passenger seat with a simple tool kit, just some sockets.

Between the passenger seat/ back seat/ spare tire and jack it's about 100lbs.

A full tank of gas (about 16 gallons) at 6.25lbs a gallon weighs about 100lbs as well. I was running a little over a gallon of fuel, maybe two so I saved 80lbs there.

Nearly 200lbs can shave off roughly .2 seconds in the quarter or add about 2mph to your trap, but that's all estimates and bench racing.

A lot of people don't understand how my bolt on car can trap 113 when they only trap 110-111mph. Well, many race with a full tank, full interior, and some guys weigh about 250lbs or more, I'm only 150lbs. That's about 300lbs heavier than what I run, that's a big chunk of weight that your car has to drag down the strip.

Can you put me in touch with Frost?

Also was wondering, what's the first 1/4 mile time you got and what's the best 1/4 mile time you have?

I'm not too heavy myself, maybe 190.

Lastly, I hear if your car runs 13.99 or faster you need to wear a helmet? Do strips usually provide those, or do I have to get one of my own?

http://www.tunedbyfrost.com/

13.99 and faster requires a helmet at MOST tracks... I say most because I have been to a couple different tracks where I run mid-high twleves and no one ever said a thing about me not having my helmet. I dont know of any tracks that provide them, you will have to purchase your own.

You'll have to get your own helmet and it has to be DOT approved and atleast a SNELL2000. Most tracks require them now regardless of times being run. There's a lot of insurance and legality issues.

Sorry, but what does DOT approved mean? And SNEL2000?

Any idea on where I can buy one of these helmets and about what they run?

400 even on a dynojet. cam/boltons/mail order tune. Its trapped 116mph in the quarter and 90 in the eigth, killing the clutch the whole way

edit: above numbers are from when it was an m6. no dyno or track time since i swapped over to the th400 and still got to get it tuned for the bottle

Yea you do lol. Just about any street bike helmet meets the requirements. DOT is department of transportation and SNELL is a rating. I have a street bike helmet from one of my old bikes I use. Check craigs list or a local add and see what you can find.

I got 2.2 60ft 13.2 @ 111mph with a lid/catback.

Then I got a 2.3 60ft 13.2 @ 113.8-114.1mph adding headers/catted-y/LS6 intake/tune.

Don't look at my time, look at my trap speed if you wanna see the diff. my mods made. I could add 50 more hp and not get a better quarter mile time. My street tires have reached their limit.

I got my helmet for $90 at summit racing.

So the improved power with headers and new intake and all means you're spinning a bit more, but the car climbs out of that fast enough to make up for it just a bit, and then some.

Someone else was saying just about any motorcycle helmet will do?

At 90% of tracks any motorcycle helmet, full face or skull, will do.

Old motor: 502@7100 401 ft-lbs Mustang dyno 346ci N/A 6speed, 9 inch and slicks.

Trapped 131 with a badly slipping clutch, as evidenced by the 101 mph 1/8th mile, and 131 1/4

New motor is a forged 366 13.2-1 same heads, bigger cam....should pick up at least 30 rwhp..
