Why does everyone hate convertibles?

The f bodies are ugly,there's two verts in my family.1970 454ss chevelle ,real deal by the way,and a2001 c5 vette.both owned by a woman.enuff said.I just feel less manly behind the wheel and the chevelle is pushing a600 hp 468 roller motor.

^^ lol. I love all the crap people say about verts on here about how horrible they are, but in the 7 years I've had this car at shows and at the track it's only compliments. I'm not a vert guy, wnot buy another, but I'll never sell this one! Had 2 T-Top camaros and I'll have another. As far as being slow, bone stock this land barge went 13.2@104. And stock internal it's been 12.1 full weight, and it's an auto. I love all fbodies and guess I just don't want to see the hate. My shot looks bad *** by the way!!!!

i dont really like the verts, just because i like the feel of being in the "cockpit" and surrounded and concealed. even with the T-tops off and windows up i have privacy(tinted windows 15%) and feel secure. ive only rode in a few verts in my life with top down, and it felt like being in a parade, everyone can see everything and stuff. but to each their own.

The problem I see with many convertible soft top cars is that they were never originally designed to be strictly a convertible, and IMO very few are designed to look really good with the soft top down. Furthermore, to many of them look incomplete, like something's missing when the top is down. maybe that's why I think most look better with a 4pt cage behind the driver & passenger front seats.

To me, you take an all black SS that looks mean as hell, make it a convertible and it no longer has that intimidating/evil look to it. But, that is just my opinion. If you like it, you like it.
