ok so why are you mad? is it bc im getting a nice car and the place i live has bad winters? i know the car will get messed up and im readdy for that i know it wont be perfect here but its a car im going to drive it not just let it sit im not going to beat on it but im not going to leave it completely stock im going to change it and ur mad at that? its my car and im going to do stuff that wil possibly lower the value but the reason im buying this is since its nearly new and i rather this than a car someone beat on for ten years. so just tell me why ur mad. this is a forum not life and theres no point for us to be fighting

im not mad, i just dont see the point in spending more money to achieve the same goal. if that makes sense, you can do everything you want to a car that has more mileage and dont have to worry about losing money when it comes time for resale. you just need to pick through tons of ads and figure out which car has been beat on and which one hasnt, if you can bring someone who knows about body work to check for accidents and stuff like that, unless you know what to look for yourself. it just doesnt seem like your taking anything youve been told into consideration, why ask if it doesnt matter?

well if thats the plan, i would say that adds even more fuel to the fire for buying a slightly higher mileage car! 150k on a well maintained lsx is nothing.

Remember what I told you in your other thread.
I'd rather have a car that has been driven, not one that has sat. Every problem in the book is going to come knocking at your front door.
Oh, and you may think of it as "basically new" but it is still a 10 year old car. And it's been sitting for 9.5 years.

This. ![Cheers!!](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_cheers.gif)
That 94 anniversary is probably more of a garage and trailer queen than anything, based on its age its only been driven a little less than 1/3 of a mile everyday. how are problems supposed to arise? BWW makes a point, that car could just fall apart under daily driving.

We're not telling you this because were jealous or whatever you think, we're telling you this because we have been around these cars for years. I've seen cars with 300k miles run like champs and I've seen cars that have low miles run like ****. I've seen it the other way around as well.
If you were hunting a trailer/garage queen that only comes out for shows and short cruises once a month, by all means, get the 3k mile car. But your looking for a dd and spending money that can be better spent on a car that has more miles that is cheaper...
In my search on ebay, I found multiple 30-60k mile ws6's in probably just as good of shape as the one your looking at for half the price...think about the big booming stereo system you can have for 12k? All your high school friends will be drooling with envy when you roll in.
Also, how many times was that car started with no oil in it? Only averaging 315 miles a year, did he go out and start it up once every couple weeks or did he let it sit for 8-10 months out of the year and let all the oil drain back and all the oil film on The bearings drain as well?
Did he drive it once a year to see his WWII ship mates at a reunion that was 315 miles away? Who knows.
At least with the higher mileage car you know the oil has been changed more than 3 times in 10 years.
A good point...if it falls apart you will fix it...with what money? You already said your not making much money, if you can't afford 5k in a sound system, how,you going to afford 5k in a new engine if it let's loose?
At least with the higher mileage car you can save some money for just an occasion.
