Default Getting some TSP 2.5 5.3's

I know these will make the valve train louder but how will they affect the exhaust sound?

Heads themselves won't have an effect on exhaust volume.

I would think that the added compression will change the exhaust tone and could make it louder.

theyll make your exhaust louder because there will be more air flowing through the heads and through your exhaust.

Mike I can tell you from experience that those heads will change the exhaust tone. It will get a little deeper at idle and the part throttle and WOT will get louder. Btw I gained 38rwhp and 18rwtq from those same heads with a small 224R cam. You'll be happy I promise you.

Bolt ons and cam only it made 407/402. I changed nothing but added tsp 2.5 5.3 heads and made 445/432. I was suprised at the numbers for sure, but it runs mighty strong.

Does it feel a lot stronger under the curve?

It definitely feels stronger under the curve...when I get traction. And now my OEM clutch just slips.

The throttle response feels better too. The added power was everywhere not just at the top of the rpm range.

If your car hooks it won't last. My clutch lasted ~12k miles of stock power then not even two passes at the track...lol

Do you also still have the 10 bolt?

Yes I still have the 10-bolt. Now that my clutch isn't the weak point it probably won't last long. If I get one good pass at the strip and then it breaks I won't complain at all. Lol
