modded is the life for me. i wouldnt mind having a second one stock, but it probly would drive me nuts after a while, id start with "just a lid, just a catback" and well. we all know that road lol.

My WS6 is stock down to the paper filter as well, EVERYTHING if ever replaced is ACDelco, no exceptions (moreso because I get GM parts at cost). I HAD a 98 camaro which I modded so the TA stayed this way since I bought it in summer 03. Funnily enough as a testament to these cars, it has always been 100%, no problems, stored for 7-8 months and then starts as if it had been fired a few weeks ago. SOLID ******* car. Everything is tight and feels smooth, as a comparison the 98 was VERY loose feeling kinda like a well worn in pair of shoes.

You lost that wager. I'm 100% stock right down to the Goodyear tires and GM battery. Just hit 34,000 miles yesterday. I like the way these F-bodies came from the factory and when I replaced the tires and battery, etc.. I got as close to original as possible. I realize 'stock' owners are in the minority on this site but we are here, and if I had known about LS1Tech before 2006 when I joined, I would have been here when the site started since I've owned F-bodies since 1996 (all 'stock' by the way).

I like a stock car, bought my car stock. When you mod and you want OEM quality it takes a lot of effort. You can't cheap out on parts, you need to pick the right ones(sometimes takes a few tries and some engineering), also a quality install.
It didn't come easy for me, but I would say my car is better than stock in every way. Same MPGs, more power, same clutch feel, better trans, no surging, slightly louder inside, still looks and sounds like it only has a lid.

when i was a kid, and had my first ls1 trans am i went for the big lopy cam and full bolt ons with ORY, which in a **** state of CA is a no no, got pulled over many times for noise... Plus driveability sucked big time!!
Nowadays i would stay stock... I like a quiet quick car that you can live with day to day
