Stuff it in your windshield. My state requires a front plate and Iv been doing this for years without issues. As long as you have both visible i don't think its an issue

They will ticket you in Illinois for having it in the windshield, thats not considered proper placement by law.

I've seen guys secure them to the lower air dam.....don't know if its acceptable or not though.

I'm in Illinois and I just never put one on. I've been pulled over 1 time in 13years for it and he gave me a warning. I don't care how many tickets I get though...I'll just pay them. No front plate is going on this car.

Don't worry about it until you get pulled over, if you ever do. Here in Ohio it's a non-moving violation, so you won't get any points on your license and it won't affect your insurance. I've had no front plate on my past 4 cars and have only been pulled over twice in 14 years. I was given a warning both times.

here in ohio its normaly only used as an excuse to stop and check for license/drugs/drinking. not many cops bother with it unless ur also driving like a moron. only ever wrote 2 cites for it in 4 years.

Agreed. I don't have a front plate on my Camaro, or k5 and I've only been bitched at once about it. Cop was investigating a break in down the street and asked me if I had seen anything. Then told me I had to have a front plate.

Never had a problem after that.

Also here in Ohio, there is a bill on the books to eliminate the front plate requirement. Just has to pass Ohio congress. It will supposedly save the state and tax payers 3million a year.

There was a bill here in illinois to do away with front plates however it stalled back in 09 and was never brought up again. Ive been pulled over once and guy gave me a ticket. Be careful if you park in downtown chicago though. Meter maids will give you a ticket for no front plate. Ask me how I know......

Mounting a liscense plate on the front issues. Best thing you can do is ask a cop or something. Cops bitch alot.

I had mines mounted on the air damn of my old car for a while, then it scraped an entrance or something at some point or another and it fell off, never had an issue with cops without it, don't have one on my current SS either. Kind of like the one guy in here said, I hate the way it looks so much if I get stopped, I'd rather just pay the fine and leave it off the car.

My friend is a Sheriff and when I mentioned that I recently took off my front plate for a paintjob and haven't got around to putting it on, He looked at me like in awe and said dude that's all we look for, "probable cause". Well here in Cali if you get stopped for probable cause and your car looks/sounds modified better be prepared for the cop to ask to pop the hood and look under your vehicle for cats

I have mine mounted under the plate cover, with the cover installed. I have never been pulled over. I have been driving for 3.5 years on highways and city streets and have never been hasseled. My car is stock and drive about speed limit. The plate looks ugly on our cars.

I have had one of those for maybe 5 years and never found a way I liked to mount it. If I ever have to run a front plate I plan on going with something like this.
