I would expect the base price of the new Z06 to be close to this, right? I just don't see a purpose to this car. Even if I was filthy rich I probably wouldn't even consider this car because there are other cars in the price range I would much more desire.

But the only thing that matters is selling it, and I'm sure they'll easily sell them. It's a unique badass Camaro and that's good enough.

The new Z/28 does have a high price tag and worth every $$ This car wasn't built for the average person thats what the SS is for.I do agree you can add a lot to your car and make it real fast.WARNING: our Son did the same to his 98Z28 he spent over 20K.All that power and suspension allowed his car to reach very High Speeds. One early AM canyon run for my son and he never made it home.He was killed on Impact. Please Be Safe As Can Be

I think a good option maybe for 2016, would be to offer a Z28 base if u will, same looks areo and engine, leave out the 15k brakes and dssv, and price it around 47k. Then offer the option to upgrade to the 75 k mods if u want,

Takes a lot more "coin", especially where the IRS is concerned. Then, you're still stuck with the almost 4000 lb curb weight.

I'll take a stroker 4th Gen, any day, over that !

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of your son. Many of us forget where the Track stops and the Street begins. I've been guilty of that myself, many times, over the years.

Very sorry to hear that. Those of us who are into cars at some point and time will or have lost someone close to us. This can never be easy as a father.
