Default My 1999 Z28 has been declared a total loss!!

Earlier this week I was rear ended by a 72 year old man driving a 98 Nissan truck. As I was driving home from work, I approach a green light but had to come to a complete stop due to the van in front of me stopping to let a school buss pass. I estimate about 6-8 seconds after I stopped is when I got hit. The guys truck ended up catching the passenger side tail light of my car and damaging the surrounding areas, and the front of my car hit the van in front of me, although only scuffing up the paint on her bumper and bending my billet grille. The old man is at fault and did get a ticket for careless operation.

The adjuster came over and did decide the car was a total loss. He said the car was valued at 6900!! I was surprised because I only paid 4k for the car 4 years ago so I wasn't arguing with price. I did invest roughly 4k, bought new wheels and tires, got a tranny rebuild, GMMG exhaust, SS spoiler, and other little things here and there. The adjuster will send someone this week to get the car but I am allowed to pull my wheels off,ss spoiler, and exhaust off because thats the main things I want. I'd like to buy it back and part out but I dont have the time or space to do it. Sucks my Z28 was wrecked, got it 2 weeks after i graduated and planned on keeping it a loooooong time,I had big plans for this car, but I must say it has been very reliable in the 4 years I've driven it.

So now it's back to car shopping, definitely gonna get a Camaro, Trans Am, or Vett. I would love to find a low mile, mint condition 2002 Camaro SS or Trans AM WS6..but at this moment I'm actually leaning more towards a C5. Gonna have 10k cash for sure. I know I can find a pretty nice 4th gen for that price. I know C5's are a bit more pricey so if i have to finance i am willing to do that. Let the car search begin..thanks for reading guys!!

Yes, I am ok, no one else was hurt either. That is the most important part. I actually had ordered a CME Valance from a member on here 3 days before. i had the CME tips, bends, and valence all waiting to be put on. Believe me I was pissed!!

If you have the stock parts to put back on it shouldn't be a problem taking the parts you want. Ask the insurance co about it they will work with you on that.

Not sure yet. Are u interested in buying? My brother was interested in getting it so I'd have to get back with u about it. My GMMG exhaust will be going up for sale as well.

Default 2002 camaro z28 (ss clone)

I live in WV, which isn't in your backyard. But if you want another option on a 2002 Camaro, I can fill the bill.
