So I bought a running ls7 off the board. Figured check the valve guides because we all know the issues. Well 3 were bad. Figured I'd check out the bearings after that. Well found this. What would you guys think would be fair to rectify the situation?

Spun main bearing. All bearings and Crank were trashed.

 

Build a 440 ls7.

 

Ouch...

 

Any thoughts on how I should handle the situation? They said they would work with me. But it's been a almost a week now and I haven't heard back. I want to be fair but I don't have a

If you got anything from them it will be great. Guy could say get fucked.

 

If they did I'd just hop on a plane. The people that screw others over drive me nuts. The way I got the motor it's clear that it was making noise. Had a broke valve spring and a bent intake valve on top of everything else. Oh well,

I want to know why you bought an LS7. Is it going into an fbody?

 

It's going in my 94 rx7. I'm not going to bash any body yet. If the situation gets fixed I'm happy.

Sounds like you are making progress. My advise is to stay aggressive and consistent. Ask for parts and labor and hope you get parts. Weather the seller is cool or not, he needs to be reminded every day or two that you need a solution. Person to person negotiations work well in my experience.
