I'm looking at a Howard Cam# 190385-10 224/612 234/638 on 110
I'm running a LM7 that's 0.30 over, flat top pistons, LS6 heads and intake. I plan to use stock ratio roller rockers at 1.7, stock length pushrods and hyd roller lifters. Nothing really special. Going in a 1981 Chevy Luv.

I put this cam in an 02 Camaro I just sold. With Speed Engineering headers, K&N CAI, 3" true duals with generic single chamber mufflers, and PCV delete; made 404 hp ND 383 torque to the wheels on a Dynojet. Stock 02 LS1 with high miles.

I'm not sure but I wouldn't think it would be too much. 241 heads on stock bore LS1 is 10/1 ratio. 243 I think is 10.5/1. Might could search the internal engine gen 3 thread and someone has probably asked the same question.

Should be better than what mine was. Be sure to get a set of LS3 valve springs for that cam tho.

Probably never again unless you went with a bigger cam or added 1.8 rockers.

If any of you guys are interested, we are redesigning the low lift asa to cam a new brand new lobe high lift asa cam. it will have the same designed duration @.050 and the same lsa and icl just more lift on a new lobe. Itll still be budget and use stock prs if needes to keep the budget low also. $515 for the kit with pac1218 spring. Make more power than the reg asa cam but stay at a safe lift.

I wouldn't think so. ASA cam is still only .525 lift while LS3 is .551 intake.

Lift has little to do with the actual ramp profile of the lobe and how aggressive it is. Use the pac1218 and not worry so much.
