Engine stall during AC system charge

Engine stall during AC system charge
I have an LS6 swap in my 66 Chevy II, I just got it running and sent to tuner now running good. I have a new vintage air system that has been installed about 1 year. Now that the car is running and home I decided to charge the empty AC system. Ran a vacuum on system no leaks so I tried adding 134a, compressor not engaged so I rechecked dash controls. As I got the AC unit on I could hear a difference in engine then it shut off and will not restart. I did not actually see the AC engage.
Q. I guess I need a new AC compressor as this one was from a 2002 Camaro and hasn't been used in years? Anyone had this happen, new to adding 134a, making sure I did mess something else up. Thanks

Youve overcharged the system and its hydro locking the AC pump. You need a real gauge set to bleed it off to a real R134 can... I got a set from Harbor freight that work fine. Bought a empty R134 can from a commercial A/C house for a "air tank"

AC Charge and engine stall
No the engine is not locked up, it tries to start but hasn't. I did use and still have the real gauge set on the system. The whole AC system is new and never had a charge and holds (28oz) way more than one 12oz can which is about what is in it. The gauge was at 100psi at the time the engine shut off. Low side at 40psi and high side at 50 psi now.
Not sure if it matters but I needed the adapters to go from R12 to R134a charging ports.
Thanks for the responses.

Wasn't meaning your engine locked up was trying to see if was spinning or not. So if its spinning over then id doesn't sound like the comperssor is locked up. If turn the a/c off the clutch on the compressor would free spool anyway. Sounds like you have a unrelated running problem and maybe it just so happened to mess up when you where charging a/c? Or when the compressor cut on it pull the engine down and fouled the plugs not sure but the engine should restart. Adding freon would not make your car not run unless compressor was lock up and if that was the case the engine wouldn't be wanting to spin over or it would be squealing the belt.

Stall during AC charging
OK thanks,
I was wonder if it was possibly a signal from a bad AC switch or a properly function switch that's telling the computer not to start. But I haven't actually seen the compressor kick on.

Engine stall
Well I got under the car today and discovered the Transmission Company
smashed both my fuel line and VSS wire against the transmission tunnel. The VSS wire was smashed together most likely sending a bad signal to the ECM.
I have not tried to start it yet, hoping this is the problem, Ill post the results.

Vintage Air System
I have a Vintage Air system (61005-VUZ-A) GenII I picked up a few days ago for a little bit of nothing, but after looking at the system online it states that I need a GENIV system for my 79 Firebird. What I would to know can I modify this one to fit my car, so i'll be waiting for advice to fit this.
