I used a stock LS K-member, ps rack and shaft on my swap. Mated to the column on my '95 no problem. And doesn't hit the header. I wouldn't think a manual rack would have a different location for the shaft.

Damnit, then I am thinking this is probably an issue with the k member and rack itself
