Default Building a bad goat !!!

I need help with the math and configuration for my hp to time in the 1/8 th mile . I'm currently rebuilding my 06 gto and going turbo with a 408 and 4l80e. Stock diff, upgraded axles springs, diff cover and 3.90 gears . What would it take to get my gto to break in the upper 5's? Any answers and help I want to thank in advance.

Not sure the accuracy, but the calculations are fun to play with

Thanks a lot man. I'm rebuilding my gto to take down a 555 ci chevelle which my boss owns and he's always giving me crap about my ls cars and motors so, I'm building and plan on beating him to shut him up.

He'll have you on torque and probably weight. Best bet is to go 1/4 mile and take him on the back half after he runs out of steam.

100%. Nailing the 1/8 mile is tricky with a turbo LS. You'll be wanting a transbrake and some time tuning a rear end setup to hit <1.5 60ft's.

I'm currently in the process of building a solid rear end convention for it . I have a guy that's really good and tuning turbo ls cars as well. Thanks for the help and advice . I've built fast fbody cars and a third gen camaro , but the gto is proving to be quite difficult to do with lack of chassis parts available now. Not to mention a 9" IRS is 6k plus and so is a solid rear end kit . But I'm willing to do what7it takes to get it there and have the fastest gto in west ky and maybe the heartland area . If anybody knows a custom header fabricator that would be great.

I will be pulling the 402 6.0 out soon and I'll post it up for sale.
