Fortunately I haven't done anything to it. I started to get HP Tuners - but didn't want to touch it.
Unfortunately this place is not close at all to my home.
No, I never took it back. I was told that he's going to pick it up. That was a month ago. I was told that I would receive a phone call a few weeks ago - nothing.
To add to the list, I got a dreaded low oil light tonight. I'm having to put a quart of oil in it every two weeks.

It's definitely time to be assertive in a calm and professional manner in person. While it may not be right, you will probably have to haul the car back and have a face to face with the owner and or shop manager.

Hopefully, everything can be sorted out that way. The shop has a long standing good reputation.

Phone and email have a place but face to face works best in my experience with issues along these lines. May cost a vacation day or two etc.

I'm reviving this thread mostly to see if anyone can confirm that Spartan LSX is still in business. I took the car back to Josh last month. I haven't heard anything from him. I've tried to connect via text, email, phone .... nothing. I'm just going to go and get it back..... hopefully.

Does anyone know him and know if he is OK ... and still in business?

Thats exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to drive out there tomorrow and see if it's there. My guess is that it's never moved from the place where I dropped it off a month ago. If it is indeed there, I will get the wrecker that I called this morning to pick it up on Sunday for 370.00; it's 60 miles. If the car is not there, I don't know what else to do but to try to call him one more time before I report it as stolen. I totally hate the thought of doing that ... but I also hate the thought of a car registered in my name being God know where.

Totally. The whole experience has been a nightmare. It's never been right after they built it. Why would this be any different. I just want to get it back and address the issues.
I suppose this could be looked at as a good "starting point." After all it's been stroked, (has it?), headers, cam .....etc. Hopefully the codes can be tuned out before July 4th, or it'll have to be parked due to failing emissions.

Yes! Thanks for checking. I made the drive to the shop ... and the TA was indeed there and not blocked in. It cranked right up and was put together under the hood. I called the wrecker, paid for the tow and left. They are about to pick it up and tow it here (home). I should have it in a few hours.

I've got the TA. Unfortunately Josh was most likely trying to tune it as it won't even stay running now.

but I was thinking, I follow YouTube channel United By Trucks, and they’re based out of Marietta (IIRC) and one of the guys in their crew is Alex Walker who is their go to LS tuner and buddy, he’s walkertuned on instagram and Facebook, the dude seems like the nicest and most helpful guy, maybe reach out, I think Marietta is sorta close to Woodstock?

Marietta is fairly close to Woodstock. I have a contact that I'm planning to reach out to. I'll send him logs, and I'll flash what he sends me back. I had also thought about Frost - I've used him before. I appreciate the lead.

What this experience has taught me, and I've lived my life with this mindset, if you do it yourself you know it's going to be done right. I got bit by this one because I didn't feel like doing the work. Live and learn.

I thought I'd update this thread and thanks again for the support here. Darth is doing the tuning and sure enough - I love the TA again. We're pretty much done with the MAF tune, but now we're tuning the SDOS and it's still ongoing ... and going very well! Here's a short sample of a cold crank. Enjoy! I damn sure am!
