When i first test drove my current 2000 Formula, the lack of low end response was noticeable (with original 2.73's) but man, that motor felt like a turbo kicked in about 4000rpm (in comparison to the LT1). I knew on that first drive that the car needed more gear and some tranny tuning, and once those were accomplished, there was no looking back.

Two of my LS1s came with 2.73s, but my first thought wasn't that they needed more gear - just a much higher stall speed. I already knew about Mike Senia and Yank, so that was my first call back in '99. The difference was...shocking to say the least. The car went from feeling "quick" to feeling like a missile.

Ya, I remember when I first went wot going from stock converter to a Yank 3600.....I was floored lol. It was about 1 am at a red light and it so happened a 2v Mustang was next to me lol so you can imagine how that went for him. I also had radials on.
