Have actually lost track a LONG time ago. Enough that I should be slapped repeatadly about the face and head(well over $30k in different stages/versions of repetative/redundent mods). Could've built a real race car for what's in this pig.... dollar for dollar.
It is however a financially terminal illness.... and that is my defense.

Yeah $10k+ in mods on a Camaro seems pretty rediculous, but I think you can build a car on par road or track with a z06 or 911 for much less money, and it's probably more fun doing it the custom way. Of course, the camaro will never have the pose and show off factor a 911 has, if that's what your into (like most 911 owners).

It certainly feels that way. Some extra time planning and researching helps me stretch my small budget.

Oh, and many board members here have so much more to thier cars than I have. Im small potatoes, as money is the limiting factor.

Wow...and to think that absolutely none of this is changing my mind about buying an LS1. If anything it makes me want one more haha. So what do you guys to for a living to support this expensive disease? I will be there one day...but not in between paying rent and eating hotdogs for dinner everynight.

Luckily I bought my car with full suspension mod, slp exhuast, and slp flow pac but besides that I have spent:

$2,195 - heads, cam, gaskets, bolts, pushrods
900 - wheels and tires
1,678 - 02 slave and master clutch cylinder, clutch kit and flywheel
650 - headers and y-pipe
160 - taillights and corner lenses

and that is only in the first month of owning the car...lol!!!

in total I figure around 13k for all mods not including labor costs.

Actually, I bought a 2001 Z06. Order #001 for $47,500 before they raised the MSRP. I have put a few engines in it. Custom suspension, brakes, etc.. I will provide detailed mod list at a later date when it is ready.
Thanks.
