I see one guy on Ebay trying to sell an Aniversary 02 for 39K!
I mean it's a nice car but it does have 2k miles and should not command the same price as it was new.
I paid 9500 total (7500 + 2000 to repair) for my 02 back in Oct 03 but it is a really long story and it does have a branded title. Still has ran great for 2.5 years.

I had a dealership offer me $22K on my pewter M6 WS6 with 33K miles this weekend as a trade in on a $42K daytona red C6 M6. Around here the 02s still hold good value. V8 4th gen cars are rather rare in my neck of the woods when compared to stangs.

Here in Chicagoland, it is a mixed bag.
Once in awhile you will find a great deal. But the norm is 16-20k For a newer, decent SS or transam. But the WS-6's go for low to mid 20's.
Z28's, from about 13-18k.

I bought my formula on Ebay... yea ebay... about 3 years ago, picked it up for 9k, fully loaded all options from leather and ttops to the steering wheel controls and chrome rims... 100% stock and it was at a dealership. I had to drive down to NJ to pick it up but it was a fun ride home! After a year my transmission went and the place i took it to the owner offered me $9000 for it with the blown transmission. I couldnt bring myself to sell it tho...

I don't think the market's changed all that much in the last year or so. The only thing I've noticed is that the asking prices have gone way up--but so has the number of unsold cars.
The ones actually selling are still around the same prices.

I can remember last year at this time when my dad was wanting to buy an f-body, it was hard to find one around here, Nashville, for a good price without a lot of miles, last week I looked in a trader post for the first time since then, and not one person was even selling a 98-02 Z-28 or SS. IMO, the prices have increased around here because they're hard to come by, especially in good condition with considerable miles.

Star Pontiac in Easton Pa. regularly has 02 SS's, TA's, and WS6's for sale. The asking prices for these range from a low of 26k (34k mi.) to a high of 30k (16k mi.). Average price 29k and won't come down in price and it takes some time...but they sell them?
That's 9k more than I paid for mine 18 months ago with 12k miles, garage kept, never in the rain, (forget the snow) ,cared for & loved from a pvt. seller who needed a down payment for a home.
So it took about 3 months of looking but well worth the wait and I would like to show those buyers what I got for a hell of a lot less!

Z28's and SS's are reasonable here, but WS6's are a good bit more expensive. Regular T/As are iffy: I've seen some go for a reasonable or very high price. Formulas are rare, yet affordable. In any case, I'm hanging on to mine, no matter what market it is.

I just got a letter about two weeks ago from my dealer wanting to buy my car back. They want a bunch of 4th Gens in near perfect condition for some promotional thing they'rd going to be doing when the new ones come out...
I said no thanks, but I was shocked they would even offer something like that.
