I searched for an 02 M6 SS for right at 5 months before finding one with 631 miles on it for 25K.
In spite of what people say, the 02 SS/WS6's are bringing 23-28,000 at AUCTION houses, and this is with 2-4000 miles on the clock. The supply is drying up fast, and the ones out there being sold cheaply are either way up in mileage, have been modded to death, or have been ragged out/raced out by the 20-something crowd. (No offense to any 20-somethings here).
The nice low mileage cars are in demand, and with the uncertainty of the new Camaro/Firebird I think its just adds to the current cars collectibility.

I've got an M6 SS with 47k miles on it. No mods other than very minor bolt ons. If someone's willing to give me $20k+ for it, it's gone. I'm thinking I'd like to get a used Miata and stick a supercharger on it.

Ha, I knew I'd get crap for wanting a Miata.
Sure, it's a 4-banger and it's made in Japan. It would never have that wonderfully visceral feel the SS has. But it'll cut and run circles around an F-body when it comes to handling. They weigh less than 2,400 lbs. Plus, you can get a blower and headers out the door for >$2,700.

update... i was at a cruise night couple weeks pack and there was a guy there with a matching numbers 68 firebird ram air convertible... mint.. won best car ... and he was all about my car... guy about offered me 12k for mine (he wanted it for his wife... and he said that because he had the first year made, he wanted the first year of the last generation of formula made) i'm thinkin i might wanna go back there and see if the offer still stands... :/ ...

In my area the Firehawks and WS6s are usually in the 20s, but everything seems reasonable around 12-16k.

Even the southern Ontario/Toronto area T/As and Camaros are holding their value. if i was to sell mine (99 WS6, All Options, 50k KMS, Tan Int) id loose MAYBE 3-4k$ from what i paid for it 3 years ago.....ive put on 6k kms. most are going for 25k+.....now i only wish i had gotten one with lower milage!!!!

I had a dealer ship offer 23 k for mine when it had 46k on it... but then there were only 3 trans ams available in the entire lincoln area so I guess that wasn't so bad.

I know in Utah both the SS and the WS6 go for a lot. I actually just picked up my WS6 out of Chicago, Illinios for 22k plus shipping and all that good stuff. It came with all the mods that are done to it now and it only has 28,000 miles on it. It also has a award winning sound system in it. But I will more than likely sell that. Email me if interested in hearing what it consists of.
