I gave it a 8. The thing I like the most is the LS1 motor. In my eyes it's one of the best out there and it seems like GM just makes it better. Last year I put a turbo kit on my stock motor and put down over 500rwhp and almost 600rwtq, ran it like that for little then tore it down. The car sat outside of my friends shop for over a year missing some parts and stuff, I had no real desire to get it running again. So now I just put it back together with some basic bolt on's, new battery and the car fires up on the first try. I love it! Car feels like a beast to.

I gave it a 10. I bought my first TA new. It was a black with gold '78. It attracted the attention of this girl I later married. (She is a 10 too) In '86 life happened so I traded it for the SUV thing. In '05 (mid) life happened. So I bought the fastest SUV I could find - a Jeep grand cherokee with the 5.7l. It's a fun car to drive but I wanted something faster than 15.1 @89.4mph. (The AWD launches real nice BTW) So instead of modding the Jeep, I searched my soul for the car I would be most happy with. 1965 'stang? 1967 firebird? C3? '70 'stang? '74 TA? C5? I would be happy with any of these cars, but the one I would be most happy with is a LS1 TA - Black M6 T-top. My wife of 25 years had tears of joy in her eyes the first time I pulled in the drive and she saw the car. Yesterday evening she had an evil grin as I banged through 1st and 2nd with the tires complaining the whole way. Priceless...

Without a doubt 10! Yes there are things that could be nicer quality inside the car, and the window motors are crap. But all that stuff makes the car what it is. The car wasn't made to be like a caddy on the inside. These cars are icons. What other car in the price range offered a 6 speed matched with an awesome powerplant. Brand new 2006 and 2007 cars are having trouble hanging with our cars (ex. new mustangs). Our cars are truly unique and are in a category all their own. I love mine and I don't see the day that I'll get rid of her. No other car can make me smile the same way she can.

and you hit the nail right on the head. too many people are trying to make the new Camaro somthing its not. they want it to handle like a corvette with IRS and want everything else to be like a Cadillac. well guess what its not a Cadillac or Corvette. so make it solid rear and the interior cheap to keep the price down.

I have to say I love mine too. I recently just purchased it not knowing what I was really buying (Sport Gold Metallic) 98 Formula was pretty rare. Since then I added some personal things that I always wanted a Firebird to have which made me love the car even more. Still more things to come

I vowed I would NEVER drive mine in the rain and what do you know I get stuck in the rain.....then guess what it hydroplanes in a straight line at 55 mph. So yep this is very accurate, don't believe me ask the body man who is peicing the car back together! I think 11k and a sore neck and back covers it! That and you never feel like these cars are 100% so i'm shooting 9/10!

corvette's back ends won't slide out as easily because it's a well-balanced car. simple as that. btw your car is very nice.

and shouldn't wider tires HELP you in the rain (more traction) ?

Being as young as I am and owning my dream car is more than I could ever ask for (2002 WS6 M6). Yes it cost me my azz but when I think about all the money I spent on it all I have to do is go outside and look in the garage and I realize why i spent as much as I did. I would not sell this car for anything right now and will own it for years to come. 10 out of 10

If I were your clutch and rear end this is what I would say to you

I voted a while back, it was not a 10, but know I would say 10 for sure, and BTW I think my tires hate me and the man I buy them from loves me.
