it's a love hate relationship...
hate the 10 bolt, stock clutch, stress dimples, cat hump on the passenger side, useless center console cup holder, stock de crapo shocks, skip shift and lack of power...
yes I call it a lack of power because I don't have the $$$ to mod at the moment so I have a lack of power...

9/10.
Best thing is, of course, the speed (my car is 100% stock with all gm opts but still fast as **** to me). Also I like teh way they look and sound, and t-tops are awesome. Also for me, so far, the car has not had a single mechanical issue except a turn signal going out.
Worst thing for me is the gas mileage with the gas prices like they are. I knew what I was getting into when I bought the car, though. Oh, and the insurance!
Most memorable - wasting a neon srt on i-26 and waving to his girlfriend as i passed

the only reason why i gave it a 9 is because nothing is a perfect 10. if they didn't stop making them, a firebird is the only car i'll ever own (3 years of driving and 2 thus far ). i would happily drive this car for the next decade, assuming it still rides like it does now!!!!

F-body (99 Trans Am, m6, NBM, lid, cut-out, system, nitrous): 7.5/10
I loved the car, but like someone else said it was a love/hate relationship. I bought the car brand spankin' new, and before 30,000 miles on the clock I had the following things go wrong: window motors needed replacing 3 times, headlight motors needed replacing twice, warped rotors, leaky t-tops, clutch needed replacing (not covered under warranty), and the big one, a broken rear end (not covered under warranty). All before 30,000 miles on the odometer.
Corvette Z06 (appearance mods): 9.0/10
Simply put: the Z is a better car in every single way. Bone stock it feels every bit as fast as my TA when I was spraying a 75 shot of nitrous. Not only is it faster, but it drives better; a lot better. My favorite thing on the Z is the heads-up-display. I've never once looked down to check my guages. Surprisingly the Z is a better car to drive in the rain. I don't know why because it's lighter, faster, and has wider tires, but it's true. The active handling/traction control actually works on the Z. Some people might say that because you see a million C5's on the road, they aren't noticible, but I've found the opposite is true. I get more attention in the Z than I ever did in my Trans Am. The Z gets better gas mileage too. The only thing I really miss is not having t-tops, and they should have come with a factory navigation option. Other than that I would say this is
one hell of a car.

it handles better in the rain because it has near perfect weight distrubution. f-bodies don't handle well in the rain because 70% of their weight is in the front half of the car. it has a rear end that slides all over the place because it's *** is anorexic. why do f-bodies suck in the rain? their back ends slide out
corvette's back ends won't slide out as easily because it's a well-balanced car. simple as that. btw your car is very nice.
and shouldn't wider tires HELP you in the rain (more traction) ?

I gave it a 9. Nothing is perfect, but I've yet to find a muscle car I like better.
Personally I don't think you can really compare a Vette to an F-body. In my mind, one is a sports car and the other a muscle car. The basic configuration difference between being a 2-seater with an IRS vs being a 4-seater with a solid axle puts them in different classes, thus not directly comparable.

When it works, a 10. I absolutely love it. When it's broken, still a 7 because I have all the great memories and expectations to look forward to. So we'll go in between and say 8.5.

I put a 9! it would be a 10 except for all the money it has costs me in modding (it's an addiction) and it came between me and my wife once. She won but the car is still a 9.

I give it a 9 at the moment because there are a couple of things bugging me. I was thinking of all the money I have to invest in it to make it perfect and I was like nope. I need to change my spark plugs, shocks (Koni SAs), get new front tires, and fix the squeal in the engine.
Also my wife hates it because that's all I've ever talked about since we've been together for the last 3 years. I've even come to disgust myself; I to have noticed that I've put my car before my family.

I gave it a 7.
I dislike the following.
1.) Fit and finish are horrible.
2.) Cheap interior plastics.
3.) Power window motors suck.
4.) Rear is more suited to a go cart.
5.) Handling scary once limits are passed.
I like the following.
1.) Power
2.) Handling good within limits.
3.) Very upgradable with bolt ons.
4.) Price (I got an unbelievable deal)
5.) Did I mention POWER?

I'd say 8 out of 10. It's coming up to be a year that I've had the car and the only problem it's given me is throwing codes once in a while, which was taken care of and wasn't a serious problem. Beside that it's given me no trouble whatsoever and any bad memories with it were my own fault. The car is still stock but still seems fast to me and is just as fun as the day I got it, if not more. The only things I can complain about are that I'd like it be a m6, slightly leaky t-tops, my window motors are a little slow, exhaust squeal and a tiny leak, and I'd like to have an SS hood on it, nothing major. Most everything else I could complain about is just something to change one day, like the stereo. Everything else aside, the car's been great to me and I couldn't be happier with anything else. I drive the car just about everyday and it still hasn't even come close to losing it's fun factor.

I'm gonna have to say 8/10. It looses a point for the cheap interior and the ease of modding it...my wallet can barely keep up. It loses another point for the attention it gets...and I'm not talking about attention from chicks, I'm talkin about attention from cops and car theives/jackers

They are in a different category...One is a true "sports car" (the vette) and the other is a true "Muscle Car"....A muscle car has always been a car that falls somewhere between a sports car and a "regular car".
Thats why it handles decent but not quite like a sports car yet has good power.Of course with the right mods it could probably handle just about as good as anything out there on the road. Its suppose to handle/perform in a big, brutal and in your face aggressive manner.
Its the nature of the beast...
I give my SS a 9 (My 1st SS she's awesome)
My old 30th TA an 8 (got tired of the vert factor)
My old 98 TA a 10 (just because she was perfect, was my 1st new car ever, and I never even had to use the warranty on her for a anything other than a bad windshield wiper squirter )
